Taz Hampton (aka TazManiashow) is an American artist, event host, & marketing maven. She got her start in music working on projects for Jill Scott with Hidden Beach records in Richmond, VA. In 2009, Taz moved to D.C. & began working as a radio personality at WHUR 96.3. Some of her most notable interviews include; John Legend, Ne-Yo, & Eric Benet. As Taz began to forge a massive social media fan base, she further increased her digital presence by launching her TazManiaShow web series. The TazManiaShow has featured interviews & performances from Big Sean, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Guru, SZA, French Montana, Anderson Park, BJ the Chicago Kid, 9th Wonder, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, & many more. Taz’s social media following & web series created working relationships with Coca-Cola Viacom, BET, Sony Pictures, CBS Radio, Revolt TV, Vibe Magazine, international phone companies Digicell & Vodaphone.
Taz launched the Dope Dealer Tour in Philly & then expanded to Los Angeles with concert headliners Only Homie collective Mecca & Tru. In March 2016, Taz hosted the Dope Dealer Tour showcase at the SXSW music festival with performances by PNB Rock, Kay Cola, & T Dot Iill Dude. In August 2016, Taz launched the Net-Twerk concert tour with sponsors Warner Music Group & Fiji Water. Taz began working with Manny Halley & the Signature Group at the House of Macau in Hollywood. Dab Saturday Brunch club was launched & was frequented by many celebrities including Keke Palmer, Soulja Boy, Rich The Kid, Sean Kingston, Problem, Jeremih, Cardi B, & Keyshia Cole.
Taz was born & raised in Hampton, VA. After graduating from Bethel High School, Taz attending Virginia Union on a full Basketball & Academic Scholarship. Taz decided to no longer play basketball & transferred to Howard University where she launched Anceztaz Clothing. Sonny Vaccaro (probably best known for his tenure with Nike, Inc., where he signed Michael Jordan to his first sneaker deal) invested in the initial launch of Anceztaz clothing. Taz entered a business plan competition where she received additional investments for Anceztaz from 50 Cent & author 48 Laws of Power Author Robert Greene. In 2011, Taz moved to London to further expand the TazManiaShow brand internationally. While overseas Taz began doing an event coverage & worked with DJ Whoo Kid.
Taz launched her debut mixtape Late Nights to Fame Vol. 1 exclusively released via StupidDope.com. In 2012, She opened for Jadakiss & Styles P at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey. While hosting a Vibe Magazine event at Kid Robot, Taz performed with ?uestlove & Black Thought. She then followed up with the release of two projects Art Official & Two Much. A few of Taz’s exclusive premiers have been featured via Karen Civil & Hip Hop Since 1987.
Taz Launched the Sony Pictures pre-screening of 21 Jump Street & Project X. She was a Contributing writer for Vibe Magazine’s MMG juice cover, Django issue featuring Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, & Leanardo Dicaprio, & Tinashes' Aquarius album release. Taz managed the social media accounts for BET’s 106 & Park & the 2012 BET Awards & Hip Hop Awards. In 2014, Taz began Working with Kenny Burns for the Revolt Nation tour at Ultra Music Fest Miami, SXSW, Popular Demand Pop Up shop, & Howard University. Taz partnered with Broccoli City Festival, A3C, & Meccafest to assist with live event coverage & social media campaigning; headliners included Future, Jhene Aiko, The Internet, Erykah Badu, Joey Badass, Tink, Jaden & Willow Smith. These relationships led to partnering on special projects & placements for Grammy Award Winning Producer Flippa, G.O.O.D. Music producer, Charlie Heat, The Dreamchasers, & Kyra Chaos.
